ALE problem

We have shot HD on the RED cam, the problem we have discovered is the offline house cannot play HD on their avid system...The problem is the ALE generated by redrushes is HD and if i make pal QT from there, they cannot be played together in a avid project, because of the format issues.

Is it possible to edit the ALE to force the format?

If we have no pc based option for metafuze?

Make quicktimes in redrushes and then import to metacheater?

if it is a 25p project/footage then you can do following:

create the ALE with redrushes.
edit with a texteditor the filenames endings _H.mov to .mov
at the format tag replace 1080 with PAL
then ingest....
