  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Was in Nevada desert filming last week. just got home and have all my gear laid out. I'm sure there is bits of sand dust on the gear. I want to make sure I remove all of it but wasn't sure if using Air in the Can is a good way to go or maybe using one of those small handheld Air Compressor would be better? or something else? I tried using the lens rubber air blower but not enough compressor comes out of it. Any thoughts? thanks

I went ahead and pick up AIR in the CAN due to having to move the gear back home and didn't have enough time to order an air compressor to arrive before flying home. my thoughts between the two choices is that the Air in the Can puts out cold air and also cold mist and wasn't sure if that would cause any issues with the camera or the lens. I still think the air compressor may be a better route due to maybe having more controllable of how much air is hitting the camera and lens and also void cold mist that might cause issues - maybe? anyway I will order an air compressor that I can pack in my gear. I have a lot more DESERT filming ahead. I'm filming in Nevada, New Zealand (desert road) and Ukraine (Oleshky Sands).

I do a bit of cleaning on my old 2012 BT Scarlet using an air can and to date no issues.
I even used it as a cooling option when the sucker starts to overheat.
I don't have the updated fan assembly.
