Just dropped a new clip using the latest beta firmware for Epic X in to AFX and it says it can not be opened it may be an unsupported formate...Any help.
Do I need a new plugin for the latest Beta Epic firmware for clips to work in AFX???

Im using CS6, and the firmware is the new or sort of new 5.1.23 for the Epic X. Every thing worked before with the 4.0.18 firmware but now I can just import and make a comp with out the message.
Am I missing something?

The Files are all good on the camera and in RCX20 and I have done a QT out and DPX'ed a set of a clip or two. And older clips pre new firmware update work fine. Seems only the new clips from the beta update are not liked by the AFX...
Any suggestions? I have just about given up. Re booted and checked everything else and all seems the same and I havent changed anything on the AFX's so whats up..??
I even did a R3D Trim out to see if maybe re creating it might jar something loose. no go.

Im in Sri Lanka and have a 5 am call so Ill check here in the morning to see if anything new comes up from someone.

Can't help you any further, but three suggestions.
re-install the adobe importer
try on another machine, even if you have to install a trial version on it
try installing the CC version

i'll be really surprised if one of those ideas doesn't get you up and running.

Just got a email from Red stating that it won't work until Adobe does the SDK work for the Motion mount use on their apps.
supper bummer. I have these clips I would like to stabelize and it won't work until Adobe updates their software.
Anyone have a work around..
Camera clips are in the 5.1.23 firmware and using a Motion Mount. Just for anyone with the same problem.

Export to working Format then Stabilize?

Yea I did that but would really like to have all that info before I start to stabilize.. Just spoiled I guess...
Any suggestions on what would be the most labor intensive, time consuming, and largest files possible?:wink5: All kidding aside,
Does anyone know what might give the best results or give me the highest rez starting point? I thought about doing TIFF's or DPX's and then in to AFX for the stabilizing.
Thanks Paul and Eric for the moral support.

I guess it depends on your final result.

Ive never had to shoot for Hollywood so to me ProRes 4444 at highest res works great.

Try exporting an r3d trim (few frames) of one of the clips and import again in AE
Good luck!
