  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Advice please not expensive follow focus for Epic

I have nothing but good things to say about the Edelkrone FocusOnePro; great design, solid build, solid materials and very smooth. Has the added advantage of being very accommodating if the operator has to pull focus on his own. And the price can't be beat!

Thanks Terry. I am thinking of the FocusOnePlus. I will be solo with my new Scarlet for the first few months.

I have 3 follow focuses. An Arri m-ff1, Cinevate Durus, and a ridiculously cheap Fotga one from China. For large lenses like RED primes, the Durus is amazing. Not so practical with smaller still lenses I find. That's where the Arri steps in. Finally for $150 I got the Fotga because I was so curious how good it was after the reviews I read online. I figured $150 was cheap enough to satisfy my curiosity. Holy smokes! It's a solid performer. The gear can be flipped over too. It has hard stops. Did I mention how cheap it was?

Could you please advice not expensive follow focus for Epic for arround 600-700 USD?
ARRI FF4 is good but very expensive.
Maybe RED ROCK MICRO or PETROFF or Genus G-SFOCS Superior Follow Focus?

Thank you

The Genus is good. It was designed by TLS in the UK. its not an Arri or Chrozeil but very usable. if you ever want a wireless unit then check out the RTMotion it s very good and not expensive.
