Like a lot of you, I got the e-mail from Red to have my camera shipped soon.
I'm seriously thinking of some way to rent the camera out, just for the first few months to try and make something back on my investment.
I'm pretty lazy
and to be honest I couldnt be doing with renting the camera out for odd days here and there and dealing with lots of individuals. Equally I dont want to go out with my camera because I will be working elsewhere.
So perhaps it's an oxymoron but does anyone have advice on how I'd go about offering my Red package as a long term rental? Either to a rental house or to an individual production for a long duration. Has anyone dealt with rental houses, what sort of percentage do they offer?
I wont be getting the PL mount lenses (I'll go with Birger/canon when it arrives).
Essentially I'm almost spending all my savings on this just so I can make my own stuff, but if I could find some way to soften the financial blow, now seems the time to do it while prices are high, rather than in April when the market is more saturated.
thanks in advance...
