I just need to understand this clearly.

If I am working on a Windows7 PC, using Adobe Premier Pro CS6 for editing and effects, and I have three "equal computer monitors" lined up (just can't afford a Broadcast Grade Monitor); the #1 monitor displays the Adobe Time-Line, the #2 monitor shows the enlarged result of the edit as it plays through, what would the #3 monitor display if it is plugged into a Red Rocket ?

***In other words, would the #3 monitor (Red Rocket) display the same image as the #2 monitor, but with a better quality image, or what ?

Or, would it be better, in this case, to just use the two monitors, and not have the Red Rocket plugged into the PC at all ?

Thanks for your help and tolerance. I just need to understand what I'm getting into. Please realize, I do not expect to have a "100%" completed program. The color timing, and finessing can be left to the clients experts.

If color grading is not your concern then you don't need third monitor AT ALL.
Red rocket you would still need to edit r3d files.
Relax and enjoy editing with two monitors..more than enough.

OK, good to know. But, I'm still a little confused, because I edit my R3D files just fine with APP CS6 on the first monitor.

Seems to me that you are saying I don't need a third monitor, BUT if I'm going to edit R3D footage, I do.

Please clarify, and I apologize for my ignorance on this.

Thanks,

George
