  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Adobe CS6 WOW!!!!!

Great Stuff Adobe - keep it coming! Please keep pushing Team RED for tight integration between your products so the respective updates are synchronized

I dont believe its the same.

We are getting sidetracked here, but yes, in Davinci you can create the same type of variable feather in Resolve. Adobe's new implementation of variable feathering does look to be quite a bit easier to use though.

New masking tools?

I just watched the entire PP CS6 new features course on Lynda and Richard Harrington never mentioned new masks - which was always top of my list of feature requests. Did I fall asleep??

no bro, no new masking tools. I watched so many new feature movies I got the AE masks confused with PPro. Anyway the old garbage masks still exist.

No. All of the new and changed features in Premiere Pro CS6 are listed here: http://adobe.ly/HDKYpx

Thanks Todd, I had read that - and watched over five hours of videos (including your excellent ones), so I thought I was right. I like the changes in CS6 and will be upgrading to it as soon as you release it. If I promise not to tell anyone, will you divulge release date and pricing?
:)

I will happily divulge details of pricing and availability. Just not now. Soon.

;-)

We have some SpeedGrade videos in the pipeline. I think that they'll be up in a little more than a week.

I'll link to them from the Premiere Pro team blog as soon as they're ready.

the only disappointing thing i see....
is the pixel motion retiming in PPro that was in CS4 and removed in cs5....still hasn't found it's way back in....

not sure why....the tech is the same as before and is currently in AE

Can anyone tell me if RedColor3 is currently supported by Adobe Premiere? Is that something that is working in the CS6 advance copies you've seen?

We have RedColor 3 and magic motion working in the labs... I can't promise when we can get it out...

Cheers

Dave
