I've spent the last couple of days scouring the threads for more information about CS6 and especially Speedgrade. I must say this is the most impressive adobe suite release since CS5. Actually I have yet to use the software so I'll tell you the best features I see as extremely exciting and very productive for anyone in the film TV industry.

1. The 3D tracker in AE combined with the new cache preview is incredible. From the videos I've watched the feature specs of of this 2D/3D tracker puts it in the class of 4D. Its actually the best tracker I've ever seen. Now Adobe how come you did'nt add this tracker or even the old 2D tracker into Premiere and Speedgrade?
2. Which brings me to feature set number 2, the new adjustment layers in Premiere Pro. This is a feature I personally asked for and its by far the most advanced feature in PPro setting the software to actually really rival Smoke. Yes I said it. Forget Avid and FCP or light works. The adjustment layer coupled with the new masking tools put premiere pro beyond just being an editor. You will actually be able to layer and mask corrections like you would in Speedgrade. If a 2D/3D tracker was added to the mix it would have been a wrap. Just to let you know there are excellent 2D tracking plugins for PrePro from Boris continuum and even MOCHA.
3. As a Red user it seems Red editing has been promised to be even faster now. Congrats Adobe. I hope its as fast as they claim. we might able to use the use the Red Rocket pci slot for for some Open GL/CL acceleration. Are the RND/R3D tools available in Prelude as they are in Pre-Pro.
4. the new skimming tools will put FCPX users at bay
5. The new larger sized preview thumbnails in the Project window are a God Send.
6. Send to Speedgrade as a 10 bit DPX file is great, but most of us prefer , Open EXR, Prores4444, DNG, or DNXHD. I wish the same feature was available as a send to AE.
7. The ward stabilizer native to pre pro
8. vst3 support on Audition
9. the new ADR elastic tools in Audition
10. Speedgrade. Wow!!!! it has definitely been Adobelized. Very Very impressive. Everything a Reduser can ask for and more.

but still above all the Adjustment layers now being native to PrePro is my favorite new feature.

now What is missing?

Speedgrade is still in its infancy, obviously, from purchase to release was barely a few months. I understand the underlying architecture is more important than new features.

That said,
Adobe whats up? No tracker? Seriously? no noise reduction? no third party plugin architecture? No coffee maker?

Adobe you have done it again... Cudos!

just Rember At NAB 5K, 6K, and 8K are the new 4k hope you are ready.

The only thing that is *almost* exciting to me from the list above is the ADR tools in Audition.

I am also looking forward to RC3/RG3 support in PPro.
lol... that's just my personal list. There will be nothing in that list impressive to a cinematographer, but you are Red desktop filmmaker you'll understand... There are actually over a thousand new features for everyone in CS6. its an impressive release from Adobe.

From the tutorial and features videos I've seen the 3D tracker in AE is up there with the best and even easier to use.

Wow

How is the 3D tracker in comparison to Foundry camera tracker?

I've never used the AE tracker, but from the looks of the new features videos its a lot easier to use than the foundy's tracker. I dont assume it will be a replacement to boujou, matchmover or Pftools, but to be able to track numerous points at once in the background is very impressive. The motion graphic, music video, viral video and horror film maker crowd will have a field day with this one.

I The adjustment layer coupled with the new masking tools put premiere pro beyond just being an editor.

New masking tools?

I just watched the entire PP CS6 new features course on Lynda and Richard Harrington never mentioned new masks - which was always top of my list of feature requests. Did I fall asleep??

There is Noise reduction now....they have taken warp stabilizer from AE and added it to the effects in Premier...this is actually quite nice now....that said, i guess we'll have to play around with Warp vs. Neat video stabilizer to see which is actually better. My $$ is on Neat video just from using it so much, but i hope i am surprised by Warp.

That's After Effects, I know dozens of ways to do it in AE, I just need something simple in Premiere Pro - like the vignette plug-in they put in FCP about six years ago...
I havent ventured into the PPro section yet. I am noticing some of the new tech is old tech. Disk Cache for one Im accustomed with using Maya.

It's already in Resolve. Just create a mask with curved shape or rectangle and you have full control of feathering.
I dont believe its the same.

Regarding the 3D Camera Tracker compared with the camera tracker from The Foundry:

Our goal was to make a camera tracker that was very, very easy to use that would give good results in the great majority of cases. We deliberately simplified in a few areas where added complexity would make things harder but might also add some extra configurability to work with difficult scenes. For this reason, we think that most people will be satisfied with our 3D Camera Tracker most of the time... but you may need to use something else for especially tricky scenes.

See this video for a demonstration of how easy it is:
