  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Adobe Creative Cloud 2017 with Helium Support in Premiere Pro and After Effects

Yes, AE has always been a very pleasant program to work with. The biggest issue I always had was that it is so slow.
We have a 28 core CPU and 2x Titan X cards, but most of the time AE only uses 1 cpu core and the GPU is not used at all.
2017 is a great step in the right direction, I just hope they GPU optimize more of the effects and support Red GPU :)

How well does CC 2017 play with OS X Sierra? On the Adobe forums I read that people running CC 2015.3 who upgraded to OS X Sierra were miserable afterward. I have not yet upgraded my base OS, and won't until I hear that it's safe. What say you, REDUSERs?

The Cinema DNG in After Effects is still based on Camera Raw. The Cinema DNG in Premiere Pro is based on the SpeedGrade Debayer. We are working to combine these two paths. So the AE DNG will be slower until that happens.

Cheers

Dave

Appreciate the info Dave.

The most important part; will the "attach to proxies" work with batch-attaching R3D clips to segmented ProRes clips?
