Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
Yes! I expect SpeedGrade or it's abilities to be built into CS6. I've graded a lot of projects in AE with 3rd party plug-ins but im loving the responsiveness of Davinci Resolve. It'd be awesome if Adobe could provide an equally good or even better solution bundled within their suite of products
I'm excited about this announcement, but Speedgrade is absolutely not a peer of Resolve.
Then again ... like Color it may be good enough that no one cares.
Still, Synthetic Aperture's Color Finesse is out there in the CS 5.5 suite, and frankly its integration is utter shit. I hate using it. HATE I said.
My main problem with the Adobe video tools it that their UI is kind of awful.
I actually prefer editing in Resolve to Premiere Pro. I still use FCP 6 when my media allows for that workflow (ProRes or ProRes HQ) Neither of those statements are compliments to how Premiere works.
Ugh don't get me started on Color Finesse's integration. I'm very happy with the Premiere & AE workflows, i'd just love it if a robust, easily scalable grading solution was present within the suite that didn't require xml hassles and roundtrips...
