Looking at some media in Redcine-X Pro, I noticed that I have the ability to adjust ISO after the fact. I thought ISO affected the actual capture and was not just metadata, but I guess that's the beauty of shooting RAW with the Red!
For doing a first pass on an underexposed shot that was shot 320 ISO, should I raise ISO first (say to 640) or use the lift/gamma/gain controls? Will the latter potentially add just as much noise as raising the ISO?
I apologize if this is a novice question, but it kind of blew my mind to see the ISO slider.
EDIT: Wow, reading the thread linked below, I feel like a fool as it seemed so obvious. I feel like I knew this already, and just had a brain-fart. Sorry for wasting everyone's time. I'd delete the thread if I could.
