Anybody knows when the next RED DAY is and its details

Plans are underway for many Red Days ahead! We're looking for dates in February right now and the program will be to have Red Days on a continuing basis. Ultimately, every day will be Red Day here at Red as the resources and space allows. Keep posted to my FAQ section for word on coming dates.

Akube and all other interested Redites,
Red Days are event days at Red Headquarters in Lake Forest, Ca. They began as celebratory days, originally for the first 25 reservation holders (Red Day 1), the second 25 (Red Day 2) and the final 50 in the first 100 (Red Day 3). They were delivery days and boot camps for the early adopters, but we had such great feedback from them and found that we enjoyed the process of meeting our customers in person so much, that we have decided to keep the events going. In the future, Red Days will not be camera delivery days but, instead, boot camps, where people can come visit the headquarters, learn about the cameras and workflow and purchase accessories after touching and feeling the goods. Initially, we plan to have Red Days scheduled as 4 hour events, twice a day, with a cap of 25 owners per event, so as to make the experience as personal as possible. Our resident experts, designers, engineers, and members of the Bomb Squad (our tech team) will lead the experience. In time, as resources and personnel allow, we plan on having Red Days every day, so that when your travels bring you to Southern California, you can drop in on us at our Headquarters and have a Red Experience anytime. I will post the upcoming schedule of Red Days coming up; we hope to have some soon in February.

Sounds great, Jon. If Red Days happen at the end of February I might be there. After flying more than 6000 miles I would hate to miss it.

Brilliant Idea. I'll be passing through on the 20th of Feb and I'd be stoked to be able to drop by. Here's hoping.. :-)

Great to see the customer interactions with RED engineers by Redday.

Jim - Where can I have the RED delivery schedule and how many cameras delivered till date. I from India and run an hd consultancy blog wwwindieshd.com. I've been receiving enquiry about RED rentals in India almost 10 emails or telephone calls per day. If you any stats to check the RED availability country-wise, would be of great use to people who are willing and waiting to shoot on RED.

Thanks

Can I pick up my camera and accessories of choice at RED day? Rather than pay shipping charges for a customer that lives only 50 miles away?

18-85mm lens was on the bill

18-85mm lens was on the bill

I just wired my money for the total due minus $9975 for the 18-85mm lens as I haven't heard anything about how soon it will available. I'd rather not pay that much unless it is very close to shipping.

I sent a couple of emails about this to sales@red.com but I haven't heard back. I still would like the lens, but I'll pay for it when it is ready.

In anycase, I'm excited about shooting with the Red soon.

That's great. I, from the other side of the globe and another buyer from Mexico drove down to Red recently and could only get as far as the reception table. Kelly. though, make up for our disappointment.

I may have missed a post, but I cannot seem to find the latest delivery schedule. Could someone please provide a direction home for this. I have not received any emails regarding my order. Should I have not received something by now?
Thanks for your help.

By you camera number you wont hear from them most likely until the end of February or beginning of March if everything goes as planned. They are delivering up to 500 now.

Jon, Can I make a suggestion on your faq posting here.

How about using yellow font to indicate the latest changes you've made to the post. After a while of updating in yellow, revert back to all white and start again.

It's full of great information with a lot of detail...and everyone feels inclined to read it completely each time you update it.
Doing this would enable us more time to annoy Red (for release dates) or flame other users on the rest of the site.

Cheers,

Dave
