This is a question to techs and service types. I am looking at my Chrosziel 203 follow focus, and feel like the belt could be a RCH tighter. Am I correct in my assumption that to adjust the belt tension I undo the locking screw at the dimpled ring at the base of the swing arm, then use a pin spanner to adjust what I am assuming is an eccentric that adjusts the position of the lower sprocket for the Belt?

Just thought I'd ask in case there was a surprise waiting for me ;-)

Thanks in advance,

Nick

Nice! I just came across one of these and am hoping to tighten up the bit of play it developed overtime, but I had no idea where to start. Hopefully someone can tell us your genius plan is in fact genius and doesn't murder both our units. Is yours the single sided version?

Thanks Nick!

First of all determine where the play is - It can be in the gear box - I have not adjusted the gear mesh on any of these, so I am not sure of the procedure on that- Or it can be in the swing arm, which is belt tension. Looking at this again, rotating the dimpled ring could adjust the gear mesh, I'm not really sure. Hence my question. But on almost all pro ffs you can adjust these things, it's just a matter of knowing how. If I don't hear from anyone, I'll just take mine apart and let you know what does which ;-)

Got bored, took out the screw, adjusted the dimpled ring, replaced screw, zero play. Ta da!

Make sure the screw lines up with a dimple when you replace.

So, it took you all of 8 minutes to get bored, decide to try it, perform the op and post the results.

Not bad Nick!

Thanks for sharing - have not had to adjust mine yet, but the time will come.
