I've just started a corporate gig and they're looking for best practices for achieving/storage of footage. They have (2) Scarlet Dragon on order. Once projects are completed should they be backed up onto multiple external hard drives, tape or should they buy a dedicated server? This aspect of post production is uncharted water for me so any advice would be a great help.

Also what would be an idea Mac workstation setup w/o RED Rockets for 6 months.

We archive to 2x HD and 2x LTO 6 tapes kept in 2 locations, last week we had 2x HD fail on us. (They were a duplicate set) we recovered from tape, LTO6 is fast. We use BRU PE, I know some people are using LTFS for LTO6, it certainly looks convenient but I'm not sure how well it verifies compared to BRUE PE.

We also use 2x different HD brands and 2x LTO 6 tape brands.

In terms of mac setup, get the best mac you can and then get 2 x Raids TB2 with one as a backup.
