Although I guess it's not as through as a book, I think the Grip Guide podcast at http://www.pixelcorps.tv/the_grip_guide_01 was very good.
I hope they make more episodes.

I shot "The Grip Guide" series of Podcasts for Pixelcorps (they can also be subscribed to at the iTunes Store; they're free). They were all shot on the same day (except the episode, "Setting Up an HMI Light") with no preparation or script. We have talked of shooting further episodes beyond the eleven that would be more advanced and detailed (with more pre-production prep!), but it seems to be on the back burner for now. If you subscribe to it on iTunes, they will automatically show up in your iTunes if we produce any more episodes.

paul, I really hope you shoot more of them. I they were a really good start up for the a beginner like me.
