Ac power options

I was just wondering if there is any other way to power the Scarlet/Epic using AC power other than using the standard RED power supply with the huge transformer. I shoot a lot of stuff AC for interviews and the power supply is so cumbersome and the cable is so short that I always have to gaff tape it to my tripod legs. Please let me know if there are any other options out there. Thanks.

I have soldered an extension into my AC adapters in the past. I agree with you sometimes the bulky transformer is too short. We have done this for a few customers over the years, now that I think about it.
