I hear Flanders are great monitors. Any other recommendation before I spend a lot of $ tomorrow? It will be used for accurately monitoring on set / checking scopes etc..

just to let you know, with the epic, there is a noticeable delay in the signal so if you are running audio to a comtex system or similar the video and audio will be out of sync, corrected somewhat by switching monitors refresh rate but not completely. through the built in speaker is not a problem

Good to know Paul. Thanks.

Is Flanders consider to be one of the "best" solutions to onset monitoring these days?

I think Best "value" might be more accurate Will. Suspect there are some eye-watering monitors out their if you want to drop +$10K on one...

That's good to hear.

A field monitor that can be used for color work is pretty nice.

great monitors, but even better customer service.

I got a lm-2461w coming. I also worked with the 17" version on set and it is equally great, just a little smaller.

We supply 21" Flanders Monitors. Full 1080p picture. Great image. Responsive and VERY knowledgable customer service. Reasonable panel replacement. Excellent bag.

I was thinking about getting the 21" for a field monitor but also to use for grading at home. I know it it 8-bit, but everything I shoot for the most part is shown on 8-bit displays. Thoughts?

I heard Flanders will calibrate them for life too if you send them in, so once I jump on the accurate color rendition train I am buying that 17 inch

We have a 24" JVC, a 32" Ikegami 3250W and a Flanders 17".
For me the Flanders is the best looking and most accurate image - no contest.
Their kit of other features rocks too. Right now if I was going to buy
a monitor for my personal use I would go with Flanders.
