hi,
we just rented a DRAGON for a new project, last time I was not really happy with the result of the video we shooted. So I have some question regarding black shading. I have read we nee to remake new black shadding each time we change the frame rate of the camera? It take around 10 min so it's really long. So I have read you can record different black shading in advance? so for exemple during shooting if I want to change the framerate from 25 frame to 300 frame I just need to replace the 25 frame black shading I have recorded with 300 frame black shading ? then if I want to come back to 25 frame I just need to reload the 25 frame black shading?

Someone can explain me what's the process for record différent black shading ? there is maybe video tutorial for this on internet? if you know it thanks to share ;)

thanks

read the article again. you dont have loose so much time once you have you RED set for 3-4 presets

hi
wich article are you talking about ?
thanks

when you go into the black shade menu you will have an advance mode (or something to that effect) which will allow you to create like 4 different blackshades (it will ask you how many passes 1, 2, 3 , 4 etc) using different shutter speeds. Then when you switch frame rates just go back in there and load the one you need.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the advantage of more passes? Does it map the FPN better? (obviously it will take longer)
