BTW everyone, I'm the one who came up with which filters would be in the set. I was trying to cover as many bases as possible while still keeping it economically realistic for you guys.

Your selection of filters for the package deal are exactly the ones I need. I already have Formatt HDND 1.2, 1.5 and circular pola filters. Now I just need that new Arri mattebox....

If they were no good I'm sure it would play out all over this forum and seriously injure my & Abel's credibility. I will say that it is the best we've tested so far. But a number of manufacturers are working on new prototypes that we will test in the coming weeks and months. I can never promise that these will be the end all product in IR Cut technology. Just like RED promises to forever improve its product.

Can anyone comment on the performance (IR blocking) of the Formatt hot mirror / IRNDs? I'm still waiting on some Pancros and I'm about at the point where I will *NEED* some filters soon and Pancro may not be able to deliver in time. The kit from Abel is looking mighty attractive right now.

Not sure. Still waiting on delivery of mine. Last time I called, no one had been shipped as they were still being manufactured.

Actually ours just shipped, supposed to arrive on the 24th. I think they were waiting on one last filter in the set to be manufactured.

I'll be taking them directly onto a feature film set so probably no time for lab testing unfortunately, but I'll try to get permission to post some stills once we begin shooting when they use the higher NDs. No guarantees though.
