A good documentary camera with great ergonomics, fantastic audio, rugged, weather sealed with some bells and whistles that matter to a doc filmmaker would certainly be a welcome addition to the digital cinema world. It would be the 16mm complement to a RED (super 35).

Hope this all works out for them.

I hope they don't stay in the all uncompressed route like what they did with the Delta using DNG! It wouldn't be docu compatible.
But I'm happy to hear that a new camera is coming for us to use.

BTW Epic is also great docu camera.

Weeks ago I thought Blackmagic and Aaton would have been a great match.

Aaton knows ergos, design, and usability, Blackmagic knows how to get crazy custom silicon made fast. Could have been an amazing match.
