  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

You can also see a camera that uses HIV+ blood as a red filter. I don't think that one will be a big seller! Make sure to wear latex gloves.

I don't think Scarlet will have any competition from Toshiba at NAB. The thing only does 1080i.

Iconix also announced a 2K version of their camera. At least that's what the Cow says. But at $16,000 it appears to be a lot more expensive than Scarlett will be. considering, the RED ONE is $17.5K

We actually trademarked Scarlet HD, Half K, 1K, 2K, 3K, 4K, 5K, 6K and 10K to make sure we had all the bases covered. I guess several of them haven't shown up yet.

Hey Jim, though I will not make it to NAB, did you ever think how much much money you could make selling tix to people so they can see the Scarlet the day before NAB? ha ha

I think the K is the cost in thousands for different colors. The Orange with greens stripes Scarlet is $500 and the flat black model is $10K. I will probably go 1/2 the way with the shinny silver for $5K.
