Although I sent him a PM, I wanted to publicy thank Martin Weiss for a suggestion he made regarding my wifes passing and the 2 wonderful daughters we have.

Based on a personal experience of his, he suggested shooting interviews and creating a documentary about my wife, Olga. I took this advice immediately and on a recent trip to Arizona for a memorial/remeberance dinner for her, I shot (on my Red) several interviews of friends and family of mine/ours. I learned and heard wonderful things about her, and some stories that I did not know. it was an emotional and amazing experience. I intend to shoot a lot more of her family and friends here in Sacramento, as well as a few reshoots from Arizona of the next few months.

I also want to thank all those that thru PM or in the related thread offered their own encouragement and thought

Sincerely,

Scott Miller

Scott, youre a brave guy and you amaze me. You're kids are lucky. I hope you are doing OK.

Scott, that is an amazing thing to do. Not only do you get to discover new things about her, but you also provide your daughters and their children with something very special to keep her memory alive. I have done a lot of cool projects with the RED, but nothing has been able to top the footage I've been capturing of my daughter as she grows. It may not seem the most obvious use of a camera of this quality but I see it as the closest thing I can get to shooting film which is still my favorite family archive format. It's organic process just seems to capture those moments in a way that video hasn't quite been able to.

I wish you and your family a very special holiday this year and may your wife's memory bring happiness and peace.

My condolences Scott. Please try and have a wonderful and thankful holiday. Your daughters obviously have a fantastic father, and your Documentary on Olga will be an invaluable gift to them and yourself forever. Take care.

Adrian

Dear Scott,

I read your original post and was deeply moved by what had happened. I have thought many times about you and your kids since - so it pleases me to "hear" that you are coping. shooting a documentary about her is a brilliant idea!

Merry Christmas to you and your kids!
