  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Ahaa! This is the detachable panel, guys! It works with Epic and Scarlet.

Where did you hear that? I have a feeling the DR won't be more than 6, max 7 stops. Correct me if I am wrong, Jim. :bleh:
 
Guys, that could mean that what he showed us is Epic... that it is both is something you are assuming. Feel free to clarify Jim... or not... whatever the "business plan" is (more like a fun having plan, or a tease the guys to death plan). :innocent:

Don't read too much into my responses (if that is possible). Things are not as they seem. They are better... :-)

How about instead of spilling the beans, you give us a shot of the scarlet (any piece you want) shot on a scarlet.

Then a piece of the EPIC, shot on an Epic.

Or mix and match just to throw us. Heck make a day by day puzzle for us to assemble.

That'd kill some of the waiting time.

I seriously can't take it. i am going crazy with excitement. these next two weeks are going to be a bitch to get through. but i WILL do it for my baby and yes, that will be the scarlet and when i get her i will love her so much.

Jim, you are pretty good at turning some of us into insomniacs. You would be a terrible Santa. Think of all of the little kids that wouldn't be able to go to sleep for months before Christmas because of all of the excitement! :)
 
Come Nov. 13th you will hear more than you ever expected... then you will have to wait again (for delivery). The message will be more than you could have ever dreamed. Then the wait will be unbearable. I have to suffer the same fate as you. It is exciting beyond measure. And frustrating beyond belief. We all want it NOW. The only good news is we know what you want. So at least you will be waiting for something worthwhile... beyond your wildest dreams.

If I am wrong and let you down on what we present, you can turn away from Reduser forever. If I am right, please show patience... because you will not see what we will show you from anyone else.

My guess is still working cams at NAB 09, shipping sometime in summer 09

I am now comfortable in saying that the most aggressive speculation will not come close to what we will announce Nov. 13th. We fully expect over 1,000,000 hits on www.red.com on the 13th.

You're not wrong, you just might have underestimated my ability to dream high :-). But I'm certain I won't be disappointed, I hope that I can be shooting with SecretDevice #27 come next summer :)

You never cease to amaze me, Jim. I can't imagine how awesome it must be to work for an owner who is so incredibly passionate about his company's work that he stays up late to post product teaser pics on the user forums.

Need any new grad. engineers? haha

I'm really looking forward to the 13th and how you will continue to revolutionize the digital imaging industry.
