  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A taste...

I've been taking Ninja classes over the last few weeks. Last night I finally made it. Jim, you should really work on your security system... :ninja:

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Meet SCARLET...

...and EPIC

I heard them mumbling something about '360 degree 4D' nonsense...

SPECULATION ONLY:

I'm thinking Scarlet/DSMC will be more reflective of the 5d Mark II price range.

It will stay 3k, but because of this it will achieve higher frame rates.

Interchangeable. New RED lens line will be introduced.

The first truly professional tool for video and stills.

That said, please don't forget the weather seals.

Or the Flash Exposure Lock. Very under-rated feature. Only Canon (FEL) & Nikon (FV) have it, as far as I know.

OK, clearly that's a pair of XLR inputs and dual HD-SDI ports. That's a support rod on the right. 15/19mm?

Looks like the ports are on the bottom.

That would be possibly be an even worse idea than the mini-bnc/xlr's on the RED One. Plus, look at the bottom left part of the image. There is a RED logo it looks like. I will be shocked if the ports are on the bottom or top--mainly because both of those places are horrible places to hook cables that are running off the camera.

To bad Nov 13, doesn't fall on a friday.
When camera makers see the result of
this CHANGE :) it will be Friday the 13
for them. This has been one of the
best rides of my tech career.

These renders are awesome!!!
How will others ever keep up!
MORE... pls.... MORE :)

- Mini XLR's....

- Funny reflection on the bottom.

- Putting 3 BNC's in that cut out seems like a tight fit, might be 2 BNC's + reflection.

Yes but the grooves doesnt seem to match.
The grooves and "hills" on the left image are of equal thickness, where the reflection has thinner grooves, with thicker "hills"
