  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

a strange favor to ask :) help would be greatly appreciated

to fellow SCARLET users

currently in a project and in desperate need of a short 4K stormy sky shot (approx 40-50 seconds)

this is not a commercial project

and unfortunately... :) there are only beautiful blue skies here in the past weeks

i need dark clouds, far horizon, on a shot that could be day or night (preferably no direct sun) it will be used in a composite.

if anyone has a shot like this laying around, or has a storm starting outside his house and 20 minutes to spare, I would be more than grateful.
I can of course send a shot of my local sky in return, or if interested we can discuss another way to repay the favor, our studio offers many services

It looks like the weather is good here until Monday or Tuesday. Not sure what your deadline is, but I have no problem shooting the sky when it's stormy. Do you want just the sky or do you want some land in the shot as well?

can you really get me a 30-40 seconds 4k shot?
I think wetransfer.com can take up to 2 GB

deadline is tight but what we currently have as sky in the composite is so bad that we are kind of desperate and can delay it slightly.
Monday or Tuesday might just work fine...
unless Manfred here manages to pull it out... (and i'll let you know)

as for ground and horizon, it would be this kind of frame, maybe a bit lower

shot is traveling sideways along a graveyard, stops and zooms out
your shot should of course be static (yay 4K!)
and show about 1/4 to 1/3 of ground

Hello Hector,

I live in northwest New Jersey. According to weather.com it now looks like the bad weather is going to be Tuesday and Wednesday. I actually live not that far from some farm lands and can get a shot somewhat similar to what you posted. I'll go out as soon as I can to get that footage, but as of right now it's nothing but blue skies.

Sadly, wheater is too good here :(
Tomorrow should be cloudy so I'll try it then.

and be able to call out for a 4k storm shot and receive, within several days, a few back in return from more than one user.

not only for saving our project in-time (almost)

but for offering your kind, quick and professional work, without asking (and even insisting) for nothing in return, to a complete stranger from a user group.

I wanted to write that i owe you guys a huge favor...

but its more than that really.
