This is a clip from Birdemic.

This is the press about Birdemic:

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/25/movies/25birdemic.html

Since “Birdemic” was discovered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival — where Mr. Nguyen brought it anyway and showed it in bars after it was rejected by the festival’s selection committee — it has become a cult hit on the midnight movie circuit. Crowds in Austin, Tex., Phoenix and Los Angeles have thrilled to its stilted dialogue, substandard production values and young heroes who defend themselves with coat hangers. (A “Birdemic” national tour is currently booked through the end of May.)

Could you make a film this bad with a Red? I just dont' think so.

It takes a real lack of talent to make a film this bad. Many have tried, but the result is not a truly bad film, but merely a film that looks like it's trying to be a bad film. That results in mere mediocrity, not something truly wretched.

You either have the utter lack of talent to make a film this bad, or you don't.

yes i agree with you,i am a little intoxicated but still i can see.............

A camera is just a tool. You could shoot a film on the most expensive camera set up in the word but that doesn't make it a good film. Would you ask Stephen King what sort of typewriter he used when he wrote "The Stand"? I commend any one for actually making a film.

This movie is so awesome, I haven't had such a good laugh in a while. You can shoot with any camera and get results like the best. Its all about the mechanics of how a Motion picture works, not specifically the tools used. You could do much worse with Panavision, Red, Sony, Panasonic, etc... Has nothing to do with the camera, I didnt even pay attention to the quality one bit. Its more about composition, editing, lighting, Color Correction, dialogue, and writing.

"Cameras don't shoot guns, people kill films." Is that how it goes?

No wait it's "Guns don't shoot movies, people kill cameras." Ah shit that ain't it either.

Movies make cameras good, when your gun isn't people, oh SHIT THERE'S A FLOCK OF EAGLES IN MY YARD, they are singing a bad hair band song from the 80's . . .

This scene clinched it for me...I had a straight face watching all the other clips...but this one got me right here...

having said that, kudos to them for going out and making a film in the first place...You've got quite a few trolls around youtube who'll slag this off, but I'd like to see them pick up a camera, get a cast and crew together, organise it all, and then edit it.

This is brilliant.

I've made some bad short films. They are just average bad short films, and will never rise to this level of badness.

I doubt I'll ever be able to make anything this bad, but I'm going to keep trying.
