  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A Rare Tour of IMAX Cameras.

To me, the expense of the DMR process to blow up major 35mm films to 70mm and then project them onto huge IMAX screens is well worth it! Those screenings rake in huge amounts of cash for IMAX, and do not degrade or betray the IMAX brand, IMO.

I have yet to see anything on an IMAX Lite screen, but I'm very skeptical that this is doing their brand or long-term prospects as a company any good. IMAX is probably one of the most respected brands in America. That's why articles about them get onto Gizmodo so easily. They should not be debasing their brand in order to do some kind of Starbucks-style expansion into every strip-mall multiplex, IMO.
 
Imagine going into space with only 7.5 minutes of film!!
