Wow $500 would be a kick in the pants for those that paid $2000 for the Ti version. Honestly Al3+ would be just fine for most Canon applications.

For those who put a big time lens on, the Ti mount would be worth every penny, I would think. 'Course, those with funding issues would not likely have the big lens so I agree with you.
