  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A moment with Ridley...

Hey Jarred,
Makes it all worth while doesn't it.

Great work mate, You guys earned the respect.

And how cool would that have been playing in the RED cinema at NAB before Loom played. :)

Absolutely..

I tried the interview link but it seems munted into my far corner in Western Australia. The text in brackets follows --

( ’ öOçäl£

-- appears in black letters on a white screen.

Maybe it's my system, internet, my computer oriented 290 - 110, plain bad luck or my own simple incompetence but thought I should let you know anyway.

That means you left-clicked on the link and you don't have a Quicktime handler in your browser, so it's just trying to display the binary file as text.
Right click the link, choose Save Link As (or Save Target As, depending on your browser) - then you'll need Quicktime to play.

Or just watch the embedded Vimeo, which has now been added to the original post.

Nice to hear this from the top man, but I have to be honest I found the quality of the cutaways/reframed shots disappointing and distracting

Was this played before the first screening of Loom?

I thought something was... Or maybe at the REDUser Party?

I feel like ive seen this before.....

Other than LightIron doing the grade (since a version of this was played with LOOM at the RU party in vegas one time) , I really have no idea who cut it together or did the sound so I can't answer on that....... but that really doesn't really matter... it was a gift from the god (s) :)

Priceless.

I only just saw the Prometheus and opted to see it in 3D...
As much as I loved the movie itself - same way i did not enjoy the 3D. So far only 2 movies entertained me in 3D - and those were Avatar and Up. When the 3D does not add anything to the value/experience - I feel rather disappointed...
There were couple scenes that looked great in 3D - the initial approach of the silica storm and the 3D planetary mapping in the alien ship where David holds the Earth... Other then that most of the time I actually had a problem seeing if it was in 3D...

Having said that - I have really enjoyed the movie, the image quality, etc... Just the 3D part did not sit well with me...

Thor Melsted.

Thanks for the advice on the link and quicktime. I am a bit of a luddite when it comes to computers and the rules they set.

nice! thanks to share Jarred! Cheers Bro

How can anyone expect to watch a real film on an iPhone. It's pointless. I refuse to watch Netflix on my iPhone. It's degrading. IMO

I wonder if this was shot at one angle and they cut in with blow ups. Like the hand gestures or close up on his face. One master shot using zoom imaging to get the close ups?

Like the Man said "Best stories are absolut" and that's why I was so disappointed to Prometheus.
But when one has chance to make an interview of such a great filmmaker, one should show at least so much respect, that even basic professional sound editing is done.
