While RED Cinema Studios does not lead my list of things I'm MOST thankful for - Salvation, kids, health, wife and not neccessarily in that order. RED is certainly on the list. Thanks to Jim. Jarred, and the entire RED Team for all you have done and will continue to do to help me turn my creative efforts into more than a Pipe-dream.

Thank you and God Bless each of you in this Season of Thanksgiving.

Thank you for creating a camera that the average person with a little determination and focus can own! Thank you for creating a codec that is not just "good enough" (h.264, Mpeg2). Thank you for being so open...it helps the rest of us feel like we are part of your journey. You are helping shape my dreams! For that I thank you.

I'm thank ful that this year, my new business grew to a point where i was able to invest in new technology to help it expand the market.

Been a hellova year. Loved every second of it.

What else are you guys thankful for?

I am thankful that I m surrounded by good people, an amazing family, loyal friends and REDUSER. It has been one hell of a tough year for me, liver disease, a good mate died unexpectedly and another dying. But......I am thankful always for things I have....simple things like a sunrise or a full moon....it's a wonderful world and I thankful to be part of it.

There's a lot to be thankful for. Scarlets , c300's. The idea of EF mount cine zooms. Team RED pushing the envelope. Jim and Jarred.

But most of all I want to thank the mods for the tireless unpaid work they do (and for putting up with me)
and a big thanks to to Jason Ramsey – quiet achiever who keeps dvxuser and reduser forums running.

I'm thankful for the circumstances that took me out of my comfort zone and reminded me to stay hungry and foolish.

I'm also thankful for Red pushing the industry forward.
In August 2007, Off-Hollywood did a test shoot in NY with these two weird-looking new cameras (serial# 6 & 7, "Elvis" and something) that didn't have a viewfinder, and i was pulling wireless focus on a Steadicam, as we noticed the entire lens was shaking under the power of the focus motor. I got on the phone with Jarred himself and he walked me though how to take the PL mount apart and put it back together.
Never thanked him, hope to one day do it in person.

Also want to thank all the BombSquad reps. Communicated with many on behalf of different Red owners, but soon i'll have my own BombSquad Friend! :)

Same here...except for the wife.

Since I'm relatively new to LA, it's weird to think about the fact that a lot of my local friends are there at RED. I'm also not only grateful for the friendships at RED, but also the friendships which have stemmed from REDuser. I've been blessed to meet with so many REDusers across the world in just the last couple of months. Alex, Alex, and Alex in San Francisco. Dino and John Cordell in LA. David Battistella in Florence. Fred in Milan. And later this weekend I will be with Ketch Rossi again in Dubai (fingers crossed to see Perry Ho in China in December).

Such a strong community we have. REDuser may be going through some growing pains, but don't forget to be grateful that we have a forum like this to begin with.

As a Mod over at DVXuser, I get to see some of what he does and three cheers to that sentiment.

Oh and Happy thanks giving to all you guys in the US. Hope you are all surrounded by those you love.

Thanks for saying this! Agree with this!

I'm Aussie so we don't do the thanksgiving thing but i wish we did, it always bring a tear to my eye to see people expressing what they're grateful for. As a new red owner I'm grateful for the opportunities and I look forward to joining and being more part of the community. I grew up in an Apple Computer shop as a kid, and so have a fondness for those who push the boundaries Steve Jobs and Jim Jannard style. THANK YOU and all the best for the holiday season. I can't wait for my Scarlet!!!!! Love you all!
