If you shoot at 299, you get to shoot at 7:1 compression! 300 just sounds better though...

Super quick...

Dude that is nice!

I shoot today @ 300 fps and got a little worried about those artifacts? How you guys are dealing with this?

HOAX!!

Got on board a westbound 747
Didn't think before deciding what to do
Ooh, that talk of opportunities
TV breaks and movies
Rang true
Sure rang true

Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California
But girl don't they warn ya
It pours, man it pours

Out of work, I'm out of my head
Out of self respect, I'm out of bread
I'm underloved, I'm underfed, I wanna go home
It never rains in California
But girl don't they warn ya
It pours, man it pours

Will you tell the folks back home I nearly made it
Had offers but didn't know which one to take
Please don't tell 'em how you found me
Don't tell 'em how you found me
Gimme a break, give me a break

Dig it. Are you seeing the strong compression artifacts at 300?

Try to rate at 800.. light the scene well or open up if you're shooting outside... Shooting at 299 fps as opposed to 300 fps lets you shoot at better compression ratio which will give you cleaner imagery

What a great find. I wonder how many other tricks there are undiscovered?

Quick questions:

- So at 300fps, at what compression setting does the camera allow?
- Care to share the shutter speed/angle settings used?
- Noticed some magenta highlights on the droplets. Any ideas why?

Anyhow, nice video! Loved the motion!

Thanks... I will try this today.
Shooting indoor/studio tough.
399 we can run 6:1 :)
Super news.
cheers
