  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A little 16 GB CF news...

I think RED should have already found a 16Gb solution by now. The wait is too long - you can't do that much with only 8Gb cards.

I know they depend on other manufactureres that advertise over-optimistic specs - however 16Gb and 32Gb cards should be on their priority list, and honestly, it seems that things are moving very slowly in that direction...

I would not agree that you "can't do that much with only 8Gb cards", I simply am hoping for an update for planning purposes.

I know the higher capacity cards are high on their priority list... hopefully one of the card companies steps up soon.

I guess there are no updates for now...
 
What's the sustained write speed that Red is looking for in the CF cards?

no no and no.. the biwin is interesting as at least they are honest about the 300x write vs read limitations most cards lie about..
 
Jarred, which hoodman are you waiting for? i guess you weren't earlier referring to the 16gb 300x.
