Hi. I will shoot a road movie which of course will include a lot of car shots. I'm thinking on buying a car mount rig for the Red. Anyone knows of a good car mount system, door and hood? I searched but I still can't find anything interesting for a decent price. Most of it is for DV or photo work and no way it would hold the Red... Thanks.

Is it a door mount you require or a window mount ? Heavy Weight or light weight ?

Both need multiple anchor points particularly if there's any of the suction type mounts involved.

Try willyswidgets.com. I think he makes some of the best stuff around and you can customize to your liking. Tell him I sent you. ;-)

I used the Filmtools car mount with my RED on an indie this summer and it worked great.

Yeah, an exterior door mount, to aim the cam at either the driver or the road, as well as a hood mount... The Filmtool sound cool, especially if you add a couple of suckers for safety...

Here are a couple of shots while we were setting it up. When we were done, we had another strap or two for safety.
