  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A Girl and a Cannon

Thanks!

I admit, titles aren't my strong suit.

I was experimenting with stills using my Epic-W because it would enable me to consolidate down to a single set of lenses for travel and adventure photography... I used to carry a 4x5 with three lenses, a changing bag (etc) plus a digital SLR, and that was a bear. I want to get down to just one kit. :)

I've been using Sony cameras for qutie a while now, currently an a7r for still photos. After seeing what Helium can do though, I'm consolidating to my Epic-W once I save up enough to invest in another mount and some more portable lenses. CP.2 lenses are nice, but they're a bit bulky for trekking.

There is still a beauty to film... in terms of your specific situation.

Yes, there is. I do miss shooting with 4x5, but I haven't been using it... mainly because it's too much to carry both a 4x5 and a cinema camera on an expedition.

Besides, a view camera in a 40 mile an hour gale on a mountaintop doesn't work particularly well. :)
