Deshaker is a free plugin for VirtualDub and Avisynth. :hurray:

It is better than $$$ plugins like Smoothcam !

Astounding, isn't it ?

Comparing to Smoothcam isn't really fair as smoothcam isn't meant to correct for CMOS Jello. But yes, deshaker is quite handy.

Is there any thing similar for Apple work stations other than the rolling shutter filter from The Foundry ?

Well, my question is whether the Foundry plug-in can remove shots like that when things just shake into oblivion. I too wonder if the corrected wobble is more distracting (nauseating?) than the original jello skew.

I've tried this deshaker program before for some bad Nikon D90 footage and I couldn't get the thing to work for me. I tried to follow the simple directions on the website for it but maybe I just don't know how to use it.
