  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A fashion piece with a lot of low light

Looks very good! I would've titled it "Forgot to File My Tax Return"

Hell yeah I enjoyed! I love what you did with reflections and glass foreground elements. That shot of out of focus lights fluttering was unreal :) Nice work.

Really beautiful work!

A couple of questions -

1) Did you/client pay ASCAP/BMI? Why use third party audio when you could easily not?

3) What did you render out of? Do you have REDRocket?

Thank you Leo.
1. Really don't know, we sent the piece and the client sent back the audio.
2. Premiere pro CS6, no rocket.

thanks for the reply.
Another question then -

Edit system specs?
(I am start with a millennium falcon windows machine with intel I7 dual quadcore and 14 gigs of new ram plus a NVIDIA card with a 2gig amd processor and 2.5g of ram in it - I have an additional 450W power supply with the power control wires jumped just for the video card. I run AMC 6 and also Premiere and Vegas available )

Leo, It was a msi quad core laptop with 12gb of ram and a gtx670m running windows 7.

No grading per se, just a first light in RCX, we had no time at all.

Well, you used your available resources very very well :) everyone seems to believe you had much more equipment hehe
congratulations, it looks amazing!

Thanks Cedric!
Well, location location location.
All we had was my dear Pazuzu (my Scarlet X) and a lot of good will.
We worked with very nice people from the models to assistants.
The workflow was edit native in cs6( a breeze even on a laptop), export a xml to RCX, first light, refresh in CS6 with the new settings from RCX and export. Really simple and easy.
I wanted to do a proper grading in Resolve but we had no time.
I really didn't feel the need to use noise reduction at all, very impressed with Scarlet's low light ability.
