  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A couple of problems I am hearing about

CF cards / reader

CF cards / reader

Dexter, you should certainly contact tech support about that. Also if you still have the original material recorded on that card take a screen shot please.

From your description of the visual effect, its a possibility that you have a CF read / write module that needs replacing.

This is what I can show you before REDCINE kicks me out.

CF card or CF reader/writer

CF card or CF reader/writer

Yup. Contact RED tech support. That's probably a defective CF reader / writer.

I keep looking at those stills -- there is something disturbingly beautiful about those odd colors. Not that I would in anyway be pleased to find them on my footage of course.

Yeah I'm hip. Could made a fortune in the sixties with that. lol

I talked to the German rental house and discovered that they do work at 2k 120fps but are restricted at 4k to redcode 28 and 2:1. This is without the updated CF modules. Still quite pleasant news.

Any more experiences anyone care to relate?
