So usually ACs keep their own bags of random stuff, but they are always CRAM FULL. Usually on set I've noticed that the Red will get low on battery, a warning will go out, then the battery gets juggled around. I've many times wanted a pouch that could hold just one battery.

Also, with CF cards, it's hazardous to pass those around, usually I get nervous watching an AC cram them in his/her ditty bag.

So today I took a Red battery into Home Depot and noticed that their smallest Husky brand electricians pouch fit one battery perfectly!! And it's small, has webbing for a 2" belt on the back and also has a belt clip that can easily hang off a pocket or jeans. Even the color was incredibly perfect, red on black!

Then I went to Fry's and bought the Pelican 4-CF holder and that fit perfectly into the second main compartment of this belt! Wow, and this pouch is $10!

I added an LED flashlight and a pen for good luck.

Shawn, great solutions, ones I will use in the field.

Do you always keep a full bar next to your focus charts ;)

Are they used for focusing or de-focusing?

Nice bag!

Through the many years of location shooting, still one of my favorite things to learn about is how each person creates his own neat little fixits and solutions like Shawn's. The one common thread that seems to run through each of them is a hardware store solution, 'cause generally that is what's close at hand. Love the ideas, let's see more.
