  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A box with a hole and a sensor

Well I'm gonna go then. And I don't need any of this. I don't need this stuff, and I don't need you. I don't need anything except this.
[picks up an ashtray]
And that's it and that's the only thing I need, is this. I don't need this or this. Just this ashtray. And this paddle game, the ashtray and the paddle game and that's all I need. And this remote control. The ashtray, the paddle game, and the remote control, and that's all I need. And these matches. The ashtray, and these matches, and the remote control and the paddle ball. And this lamp. The ashtray, this paddle game and the remote control and the lamp and that's all I need. And that's all I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one — I need this. The paddle game, and the chair, and the remote control, and the matches, for sure. And this. And that's all I need. The ashtray, the remote control, the paddle game, this magazine and the chair.
[walking outside]
And I don't need one other thing, except my dog.
[dog growls]
I don't need my dog.

Genius! Love that film.

the prosummer market is tapped by canon, panasonic, jvc... so on..

a company diving into prosummer world has a whole bunch of future issues..

customers that may not treat gear the same = more repairs/warrenty issues.. and it will overall slow down the professional concentration.

Id rather RED be dedicated to servicing and manufacturing for the pro world..rather than have a hand in a different cookie jar

i hear but the will still have the same issue with a pro world people will never be happy until each person get what they want no matter what.... More more repairs/warrenty issues that is with all markets and products

Dude, you are in luck because what you want exists right now. You can get lovely kit cameras with 2K CMOS chips for like 1700 USD i think...

I'd love to have the skills to be able to use one of these, if you happen too, then well your dreams may have already come true:

Elphel kit cameras:

Seriously check out the DNG files they generated, there are some of the loveliest cmos work I've seen:
