I've got a tip for marking your gels. The problem here is that its difficult to tell a 1/4 CTO gel from a 1/2 CTO gel. Particularly on a dark set. My method is to mark them in the corners with a sharpie. I drawl a little round circle that represents a pie. Then I mark off a portion of the circle to coincides with the strength of the gel. A half circle colored in is for 1/2 CTO, Full circle for full CTO, etc. etc. I use one line to represent 1/8. Its nice because it reads easily and quickly even on a dark set. Even when the gel is upside down and backwards. The system has served me well for many years. It takes a second longer, but it will speed you up where it counts. On set.
