Hello everybody,
i am doing research for a videoassist setup with two epics (A and B cam), both HD-SDI signals should be monitored and recorded and the playback should be able to be in sync.
Until date I have two options:
- HD-SDI signal of each camera will be connected to a dedicated AJA IO XT
- two aja io xt are daisychained via thunderbolt and controlled by Mac Book Pro via software called QTAKE HD (prores422)
- the output of each AJA IO XT is connected to a HD monitor for the director (so he can watch live and playback in sync)
I had nice support by QTAKE HD, but I am not sure if the production is willing to pay, because this option is quite pricey ...
option b) use 2 Blackmagic Hyperdeck Studios instead of AJA IO XT and control them via sony 9pin for playback (e.g. with sony 500)
any thoughts / experiences?
is there any other software that can record and playback two HD-SDI streams at the same time and in sync?
best wishes and kind regards,
martin
