I got my camera keeps shutting itself with any know reason.
What do you think the most common cause for that?
1. The power connectors at the camera.
2. The power cable
3. The battery lock at the cradle
4. The pins at the cradle
5. The pins at the battery
6. The battery as a whole
7. Nothing of the above. No specific reason, that is the way the red is

Try connecting parts from another camera without known issues, if it never does it with them then it's probably one of those parts. Otherwise the most likely cause are the internals connecting to power lemo plug on the rear may have become loose. Send to Red.

If you have problems with it freezing up after recording or pressing record so the buttons stop moving it's probably the RedDrive causing the issue. Try to replicate with other drives. Send faulty drive to Red or shelve it.

It seems like the connection to the camera on my setup.

I must be 1% as well. Overstatement just a little? maybe?

My camera went off once- and I figured I must have accidentally bumped the power button. I wish there was an option to enable- where you press the power button and then maybe confirm it on the menu. Of course if you don,t want this- then you don,t enable it.

Thanks everyone. Sorry for the misleading title. I just thought that title as "camera shutting itself" will not get responses as it was discussed so many times and I wanted to know what are the most common cause.
It never happened to me before but yesterday it did,
The cameras are suppose to go for the upgrade nowadays anyhow
You gave me quite some info to think about even between your lines.
Thanks and sorry.

I'm betting it is the connection between the battery and the plate. We had this happen several times last summer on one camera, and it was clearly a dead quick plate. RED took care of it immediately.
