  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

#909 (Spike) arrived in munich !!!!!!!!

Hello,

i don´t want to write about emotions again when the fedex guy comes through your door...every one of you can imagine how it is. I almost missed him because i was late in the office....but i did it and called him back from his truck. And gave him the bloody taxes he wanted from me.... 4200 EUROS later i had the RED in my hand.

This was yesterday and already produced 159 GB of DPX footage and decided that i have to buy much faster raid storage...4K is realy hard to manage.

The first impression after we loaded the pictures into the flame was realy great !!

I attached a picture...that i shot with the RED and i don´t think that a redcam ever came closer to the holy halls of ARRI...(my office is in the ARRI Block)...i hope the people from ARRI won´t hate me because a bought the little RED...and want to say...i love the ARRIFLEX 435 too!!!!

...the fedex guy look a little bit afraid when i made a photo of him with the red boxes ...see the attached picture : )

Thanks !!! No usually not...but i knew that germany takes money for everything what brings fun...so i went to the bank before : )

By the way congrats, U've got a nice cam a nice studio, and I see also a guardian...

Are we looking for RED names in the wrong places? My RED, #791 was named "Spike", or seemingly so, on the backing list. And now here comes another "Spike."

Is "Spike" really the name of the camera? Or was "Spike" something else entirely?

Hmm...on my list the Camera was called spike...so what should we do ?
