8K VV questions

[Marcel Schnellinger]

Hi,

I am about to buy a Weapon 8K Helium but before I do so I would like to gather some information about the rumoured 8K VV.
Is there any timeline for the release and will I be able to upgrade from 8K helium?
Any rumours on the price?
Will it still be the same body?
Is the VV sensor based on Dragon or Helium?

Thanks for help and sorry for maybe stupid questions.

Marcel

Hi,

based on Dragon, same body---still waiting since NAB 2015. I think we paid 10K back then, but they said it'll be more expensive due to manufacturing...problems/time.
I think u'll be able to upgrade from weapon helium---somehow.

Regards

8K VV Dragon is real, we shot one of last week.

However, there are precious few in the wild, and these sensors appear VERY HARD to make.

Unless you placed a deposit at NAB in 2015, I wouldn't even assume getting a VV is possible for years to come.

That said - it's an amazing, amazing camera. And deserving of the hype.
