  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

8k Magnesium Weapon spotted at Cinegear!?

Spotted at the Hawk booth rocking one of their Hawk65's. Seems to be half magnesium/half carbon fiber?

If you look behind the "magnesium" text you can see a carbon woven material, so it still makes more sense that Red just used the magnesium side plate when showing the camera.
 
I overheard a rep at vantage talking to another individual while standing near the camera state that Jarred had just dropped it off so it could have been that they just wanted to get it out the door and to the show as fast as possible. This was yesterday at around 3pm. There also seemed to be an issue with the image on the monitor as it wasn't filling the full screen.
 
Yes I played with it and the guy said it was "one day old" :)
 
If you look around the Record button, you will see CF material. Even the CF Weapons have a magnesium front plate. So they are most likely CF. also the one at a CG. Might have been a last minute scramble for a plate: "ahh, just use that mag one..."
 
i spent a lot of time at the hawk tent the first day, im so mad it wasnt there until the second day!
