8K Field of View while Recording 4K?

Is it possible to see the 8K FOV while recording in 4K RAW? Obviously the 4K recorded image in will be cropped but I'd still like to see the entire 8K FOV on my monitor. Is this possible?

Why not shoot in 8k and have 4k frame guides?
