hi all,

i have a stardom 8 disk chasis 2 sas connections, looking for a sas raid card compatoble with mac pro, the card needs to have 2 external and 1 internal for mac pro ipass. any suggestions would be appreciated, have seen many solutions but none with 2 external out 1 internal sas connections

I've had this conversation with the various ATTO reps for the last twenty four months.

They are hearing if from a lot of people, and two of the reps said they are working on it, but it is notable absent from the new 6GB line recently announced.

Specifically I want four mini sas connectors, three on the outside, one on the inside, and pass through capability.

One card to connect the internal dirves, LTO pass through, and an 8 drive external array.

They have a 4/4 internal external option, but for more than that you are going to have to do some home brew work.

Depending on the card you choose, you can use a fan out cable to connect the internal drives, or pass the mini sas cable through the case and to connect it to the card. (Yes I know its a pain in the..)

what about 2 sas in/2 sas out? caldigit have 3 out 1 in but unfortunately it only supports there drive. maybe I should go for that setup

Anyone know of decent 4 drive chasis that has low noise level fan and 1 sas connector (or even more drives but 1 sas)
