1 Is there anyway to import the dpx sequence and imbedded audio at once without needing to group in the sequence and import separately the assets?
2 Other then grouping in sequences, what other ways would you recommend organizing? I have been surviving on CS5, and mostly Avid based lately, but the bay has CC on it so I am out of my element. Can I sub clip or nest the non linked A1 and V1 so that I can have them organized in bins/folders as well?
3 Why is it so many steps to do this? Every other camera on the planet/recorder can be imported at once with V1 and A1 linking. The production is pretty bummed out on their 7Q to be honest. No 444 Prores yet, and the DPX workflow is overkill data wise plus a ton of extra steps. For some jobs they may want to use DPX, but looking at all the additional steps they are kind of bummed out, I am hoping I just had a bad rep on the phone and someone can find me a less cumbersome way to simply import a V1 and A1 that know they belong together lol...
