7" touch glitch on startup

Hello everyone, I've just received my camera and accessories and for the past two days I've been noticing something very strange. Occasionally on startup, my 7" touch LCD suffers from some sort of glitch. It turns white and numerous lines that look like burned pixels appear rapidly and fill the screen. The monitor goes back to normal if I unplug the cable and then plug it back in, nonetheless it's something that really worries me as it is a brand new LCD. It's happened only 2 or 3 times so far. Has anyone encountered anything like this before? Any help would be much appreciated. My camera is running firmware version 5.3.29 by the way.

I'm experiencing the same thing. It's been on and off for about a year now. Sometimes the updates seem to fix the issue, but then it comes back with the next update. I thought it was just my camera.

Yes one of my many issues I've had with the 7 inch.. it should be recalled..

Yes, I have had the same problem with my 7". Once it even stopped responding to touch altogether (during a huge commercial shoot - ugh). I had to send it back to RED for repair. When I got it back, I plugged it in and even the very first time the camera was powered on it still had the glitch problem. My friend Shaun also had this problem and posted a video:

The only fix I've found is unplugging and replugging in the monitor or if that doesn't work then rebooting the camera.
