  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

666X 64GB CF card!

Which CF module on the Red do we need? The first one that worked for the 8GB doesnt work for the 16GB, right? so it will not work for the 64GB. Will the the one that works with the 16GB will work for the 64GB?

I don't get that... but I really hope we'll get 64GB cards soon! Four of those for about $500 each would be phenomenal be for indies together with a 320GB drive! 2hs and 40min straight onto solid state should suffice for anyone using RR36 really. With a DMT/DIT of course... but he could make runs with two cards at a time, especially with a dual slot. 1hs and 20min minimum in between trips.

How fast would the offload of the footage take? Roughly, maximum.

I was with you until you said 64gb for $500 each. Uhhhh... No. Since we know 16gb runs around $400 it's a good bet it will be a year or two before you see 64s anywhere near that level

Oops... We are shooting Jan 2010, sorry, I forgot to mention about my timeline.

$500 by then should be a possibility, but like you said, still a bit heavy on the optimistic side. Still anything below $1000 would be a steal.
